This gold thumbnail is a floater, complete all around and with exquisite quality. It is composed of a single elongated spinel twinned crystal that presents as a sharp, spearlike crystal of elegantly crystallized gold. Small sharp octahedral crystals sit on the sides as outgrowths. It is from a historic classic locale. This likely came out in the 1980s-1990s. Rare now, this is a superb, fullsized thumbnail example. Complete all around! 1 gram, approximately.
