A stunning GEM hexagonal crystal of morganite, 6 x 4.5 x 3 cm in size, sits perched atop matrix of cleavelandite and quartz, on this classic Afghani pegmatite combination piece. It has no repairs nor restorations, top color, top luster, and exceptional form! The crystal just glows with color, without needing backlighting - pretty much the apex of Afghani morganite color, here. The piece is an older one from the 1990s production, different than modern Afghani morganite which tends to be rather pale in comparison. It is so shocking and bright, you can see the pink glow of gem from across a room.
