Quartz var. Smoky with Spessartine Garnet$7,500.00

This specimen is a complete-all-around and 3-dimensional cluster of radiant and deeply colored smoky quartz crystals, just decorated with gorgeous sparkling garnets. It is really uncommon to get pieces with such contrast, and in pristine condition. This would be from early 2000s production at the famous garnet locality, high up on a mountain overlooking terraced ancient fields in Fujian Province. The pockets were small, miarolitic (meaning random!), and hard to collect in solid granite. Dynamite and hand tools were needed, but created too much noise and trouble, for too little gain after awhile. The location is now abandoned and collecting of similar material - though not this quality- has continued in another nearby region. This is literally a "modern classic" in the sense that we all know them immediately on sight, and nature is not giving us more. A perfect example in the size class. Comes with custom lucite base, as well.
