This specimen of blue hemimorphite is quite a vibrant blue with lots of sparkle and shine due to the excellent luster and small crystal faces of the hemimorphite crystals. A unique vuggy appearance showcases the method in which these specimens form. A relatively new find by commercial specimen collectors in the Republic of the Congo this new production represents some of the finest available hemimorphite specimens that are currently being produced. Very reminiscent of the previous top quality pieces that were coming from Wehshan China, however these pieces generally are in much better shape and lack major damages since they are collected under the supervision of experienced specimen field collectors.
