Description
A choice tanzanite showing exceptionally good termination and exceptional luster, combined with vivid blue and purple colors (purple from the sides, blue from the front as I would display it). The bottom 1.4 cm or so is a bit rough and crackly on close inspection, but that is natural. To ensure that it stays together, given the natural cracking (typical of some tanzanites where they would have grown to attach to the host rock), it has been stabilized but is not repaired. Overall, it stands like a column of blue glass and is a highly imposing miniature, especially in the price range for the size, and with such a gemmy top zone. Comes with a custom lucite base for display.
