Nickelskutterudite (formerly Chloanthite)$1,500.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
A rich, and surprisingly attractive display quality specimen of Nickelskutterudite (formerly known as Chloanthite) from historic Niederschlema in the Erzgebirge region of Germany. A few dozen, brilliantly silver-metallic crystals of Nickelskutterudite richly cover the display face of this excellent small cabinet specimen. The complex, almost rounded, isometric crystals displaying cube, octahedron and possibly dodecahedral forms. The crystals average just under 1 cm and are intergrown, but not too much so the crystals forms are evident. The backside and bottom show contacted crystals and reveals the piece to be composed almost entirely of Nickelskutterudite. The piece displays very well on its own and it's quite hefty! Ex. Kurt Hefendehl collection.
