Green Anglesite is such an oddity that it is virtually never seen, other than at Broken Hill in New South Wales, Australia. This remarkable specimen is extremely large and consists of iron-rich Goethitic gossan impregnated with Anglesite giving it significant density. However, the main interest lies in the glossy, pale lime green flat octahedral Anglesite crystals scattered upon the surface. These crystals reach 4 mm on edge and reflect the light wonderfully. Under magnification they are stunning. A magnificent Australian Anglesite from the famous Milton Lavers collection.
