NATIVE Copper$450.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
This rich crystallized Native Copper is from a very unusual location - Champion Copper mine, Aniseed Valley, Nelson Region, South Island, New Zealand. Its very red colour hints at some alteration/oxidation to Cuprite. It comes from David Hardman's extensive worldwide Native Copper collection, assembled by him from the 1960s until recently. Miniature in size it is full of character for a New Zealand Native Copper, with small Calcite crystals on the surface on one side. Much of the specimen is quite sinter-like in appearance, but several areas of small Native Copper crystals are present. A really unusual locality piece.
