Rhombohedral slightly translucent semi lustrous crystals of smithsonite measuring to 1.5 cm in size set on matrix. A good example for the species from this famous old locality. The previous label that comes with the specimen based this to 1972. The smithsonite crystals are fluorescent under longwave ultraviolet light.
