This fine miniature branching dendritic Native Copper from Ghost Croft mine (aka Wheal Unity) is perched dramatically on matrix. Being from the Lizard peninsula in Cornwall this matrix is serpentine, and this small chip of rock allows the specimen to sit perfectly for display. As is typical of Native Copper from Ghost Croft mine, it is tarnished, or coated, rather than bright metallic, but it still looks great with its branching shape. Ex Malcolm Southwood collection (no.
