GREEN Anglesite
Green Anglesite is such an oddity that it is virtually never seen, other than at MMM mine at Broken Hill, New South Wales, Australia. This remarkable small cabinet specimen consists of iron-rich Goethitic gossan impregnated with Anglesite giving it significant density. However, the main interest lies in the sparse, glossy, pale lime green flat octahedral Anglesite crystals scattered upon the surface. These crystals reach 3.5 mm on edge and reflect the light wonderfully. A superb Australian Anglesite from the famous Milton Lavers collection (ML411).
