This gorgeous miniature Wulfenite is from the La Morita mine in Chihuahua, Mexico, an old Baryte mine which in 2018 produced some amazing Wulfenites which have become world-recognized for their quality and aesthetics. Forming a rich fan-like aggregate of golden orange tabular crystals with excellent bright glassy reflections and fine resinous lustre, it is dominated by a crystal measuring 2.5 cm on edge. The main crystal, which is damage-free, displays major development of the sloping bevelled edges, resulting in a shallow bipyramidal form, and shows colour zoning on one side. Several of the side crystals have lost corners, but this is still an extremely impressive and attractive Wulfenite from this modern Mexican classic.
