A truly gemmy emerald crystal just stands on full and amazing display atop this sparing pedestal of matrix, so that you can view it all around. The crystal has shocking gemminess and transparency, and is rather large in the balance here at 1.5 x 1.2 x 0.8 cm in size. It could also be trimmed to a superb thumbnail specimen. Emeralds of this quality are difficult to obtain as specimens because, what survives mining is often cut for any available gem material.
