A very rare example of gorgeous, translucent willemite from a highly desirable USA locality, willemite of this quality from Arizona actually (rarely!) rivals that from Tsumeb in color and gemminess, as you can see. Quality as described by Rock Currier in his database: "Very Fine. A thin botryoidal crust of sparkling blue green willemite with micro wulfenite xls. Bought the specimen in 1986 when Willard Perkin sold part of his collection after the Sylmar earthquake damaged much of it." RHC2758 from the Currier collection. Currier and Perkin were two of the most well known of California and American mineral collectors, so this is great provenance. The piece is a gorgeous miniature worthy of any fine collection, USA or otherwise.
