Native Copper
'Siberia' or 'Catherinberg' was one of the earliest sources of fine dendritic Native Copper, with wonderful specimens protruding from 'marble' matrix gracing most fine late 18th century European collections. This elegant specimen is a joy to behold and has been carefully prepared from its host rock. In so doing it became loose, but not detached, and for confidence has been stabilized to avoid damage in the future. The form of this crystallized Native Copper is beautiful and its combination with a marble/dolomite matrix makes for exceptional aesthetics. One branch of Native Copper reaches 6.2 cm in length, the other, 5.3 cm. A stunning Serovsky District Native Copper. Ex David Hardman collection but missing his label.
