NATIVE Copper$700.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
This interesting Native Copper is from Baltic mine at Adams Township, Houghton County, Michigan. Baltic mine was founded in 1897, although exploration work had identified the Baltic Lode much earlier. Operations ran through until 1931, producing a total of 276 million lbs (125,000 tons) of copper metal. Despite such high productivity Native Copper specimens are not often seen for sale from Baltic mine. This quite bright Native Copper appears to display unusual tube-like structures of Native Copper running up into a pale greenish radial mineral - possibly Prehnite. A most interesting specimen. Ex David Hardman collection, no. 328.
