This unique specimen exhibits the most amazing contrast we have yet seen in this desirable rare copper species, with vivid royal blue veszelyite crystals sitting atop sparkling, intense, neon-blue hemimorphite with a saturated color and a sparkle to it. The contrast is amazing, and unlike any seen before from this or other finds. Those clusters are 1.1 to 1.2 cm and we (and the source) believe this to be one of the best few found for the style in quality and condition. The isolation of 1cm-plus crystals is visually breathtaking in person. We saw previous summer seasons exploring this old mining region and producing rich carpets of thick veszelyite crystals, and large specimens - the largest and richest of species. However, at Tucson 2024, Tom Praszkier and his team brought out a small group of special pieces from a summer 2023 find, with these choice, unusual, isolated crystals. The contrast is unlike any previous finds we had seen, and we were happy to choose a few as he unpacked them.
