This is a large and important American origin emerald, from the famous 1960s finds at the North Carolina hiddenite locality. Such crystals, with good shape, color, and size, are almost impossible to obtain and it is thought that only a few dozen exist in this size and quality (with larger ones running easily into the 6 and 7 figures). This old specimen is a floater, doubly terminated and complete all around. No repairs nor restorations! It has long been in the collection of East Coast classics of George Elling. It comes with a custom lucite base. 49 grams.
