This very bright golden-yellow nugget of Native Gold is small miniature size but has great visual impact. It is from Meekatharra Goldfield in Western Australia, over 400 miles north-northwest of the legendary Kalgoorlie Goldfield. Australia is the king of gold nugget locations and although small, this specimen shows the quality both in terms of its richness, but colour too. It weighs in at 18 grams but does have a few small inclusions of Quartz. A fine display of Native Gold in its detrital, nugget form.
