A stunning and unique thumbnail Wulfenite single from Los Lamentos! This sumptuous crystal is vivid orange and essentially transparent with broad lustrous faces that are trimmed with meticulous beveled pyramidal edges. The crystals is actually eight-sided and has one barely discernible point of attachment. It measures 1.8 x 1.6 cm and is 0.15 cm thick. It is a gorgeous, transparent, tabular, almost octagonal, window pane Wulfenite crystal with broad, lustrous pinacoid faces and well developed, sharply tapered pyramidal edge modifications that add to the aesthetics of this fine piece. The broad front face shows very faint geometric growth hillocks and the back has a few small, 2 to 3 mm clear to white Calcite crystals and a small, partial Wulfenite. An exceptional and old find Wulfenite from Los Lamentos. From the very old and well known (in Texas) collection of Al Kidwell of Houston.
