The ArkenstoneFeatured
A quite gemmy, glassy, lustrous and classic Shigar aquamarine crystal featuring four crystals in close parallel growth like towers, that makes it stand out from so many other "singles" in this size range. They display sharp, flat terminations with slight pyramidal modifications. It has a pleasing blue color of this definitive material, transparent or nearly so for the top 3 cm and the remainder of the crystal is turbid internally with a thin jacket of transparent aquamarine. Contacted at the base, the backside shows several, 3 to 5 mm, milky, quartz crystals near the base, with most doubly terminated. A very handsome Pakistani aqua! There's only the slightest chatter on one edge of the termination that is barely perceptible. The mass is 150 grams. Just a beautiful all around aquamarine cluster with strong color, one of the later additions to the Halpern collection (4293).
