Rarely do we see these old specimens from the Toughnut Mine for sale and if so they are usually simple thumbnails or larger sized reference specimens of poor quality. This rather large small cabinet specimen is rich with bright, transparent, orange-yellow window panes of Wulfenite crystals from 3 to 6 mm. The scintillating, totally transparent Wulfenites are set on a porous Hematite and Goethite stained matrix. Old material (said to be from the 1960s-1970s with collectors sneaking into the old mine workings). The piece stands on its own as a good Wulfenite specimen, but even better as a great example from this old mine and certainly worthy of any Arizona or Wulfenite collection.
