A brilliantly lustrous large miniature from the important onetime finds of this species in the early 2000s, consisting of fiery-orange Mimetite crystals from limited finds at the Pingtouling Mine in 2003-2004. These bright, scintillating, translucent, 1.5 to 8mm Mimetites completely cover the matrix and crystals range in color from bright fiery orange to smoky orange creating a sensational variation of color. The Mimetites are all perfect, tabular to stubby prismatic hexagons and are in excellent condition with only very minor contacting around the periphery of the piece. A spectacular and colorful piece with crystals of good size and color from a now defunct locality. These specimens have not been seen in nearly 2 decades. This is a killer miniature from the find with insane color. Most were orange to yellow, but this "fiery orange" saturated color, combined with luster, elevates the piece highly. It literally glows out at you from a shelf when on display. we obtained a small lot of this material back in 2003, and one of those was an MR cover at the time as the magazine reported it as the new find of that year (May, 2003). This was hoarded away from that find and long in the Chinese collection of Steve Smale.
