Duftite with Calcite
Unknown Owner
A highly displayable cabinet specimen of the rare species Duftite from Tsumeb mine. Large (to nearly 2 cm across) rhombic Calcite crystals are aggregated in a flat plate, the upper (display) surface of which is liberally coated in Duftite microcrystals of a distinctive vivid pistachio to siskin green colour. The edges of many of the Calcite crystals remain uncoated, allowing the white colour to show through as a nice contrast.
