Tucson, Arizona, USAA hedgehog like miniature of radiating, acicular Mimetite crystals from the Tsumeb mine in the Oshikoto Region of Namibia. The Mimetite, a lead arsenate chloride, forms thick-set, acicular prisms with tapering, pointed terminations of a uniform butterscotch yellow. All the crystals are translucent and display a bright, glassy lustre. They cover a typical matrix, rich in rusty and ochreous mustard yellow and earthy, carmine red limonite and goethite.
