A remarkably well-formed crystal of the extremely rare species Berzeliite from the Type Locality at Långban. The glassy, orange crystal might be only about 3 mm across, but good crystals are almost never seen for this species. Embedded in white Calcite, the remainder of the specimen is Hausmannite. This specimen is accompanied by several old labels, one of which describes in detail who collected it over a century ago, and provides a long list of collections through which it has passed. An absolutely superb historic piece and a must have for rare species collectors.
