Mimetite
Unknown Owner
A choice thumbnail of gemmy, golden lemon yellow Mimetite crystals on a tiny white matrix composed of what appear to be shards of splintered milky Quartz. This specimen is from Tsumeb mine in the Oshikoto Region of Namibia and comprises of several jumbled, prismatic Mimetite crystals, some of which are double terminated. The largest two measure 1.2 cm long, one of which is the best quality of all the crystals. All terminations form as hexagonal pyramids and some of the prisms contain inclusions. All crystals are glassy with a bright lustre. A lovely Mimetite thumbnail from Tsumeb.\n
