Tucson, Arizona, USAThis miniature specimen consists of two intergrown glassy gemmy Herkimer Diamond Quartz crystals of textbook form. The larger crystal, which measures 3.5 cm across, is of a squat habit - wider, than tall - but displays excellent sharp crystal faces. The lower part of this larger crystal has a 'socket' where a third crystal would once have been joined. The crystals are mostly optically crystal clear, but with some internal inclusions including bubbles inside the smaller crystal. A fine example of this beautiful variety of Quartz from Herkimer County and in quite large crystals.
