Here is a beautiful gem purple Spinel octahedron from the classic Pein-pyit locality in Myanmar (Burma). Under its satin-lustered, slightly waterworn surface with rounded edges, this deceptive little crystal has a completely gem interior! Minimal backlighting reveals its gorgeous and highly unusual gem purple color. Another great thumbnail from Bill's Burma collection! This little gem has a mass of 10.55 cts/2.10 grams and is cuttable.
