This pretty small miniature (toenail-sized) specimen is one of the more unique blue Prehnite pieces we've seen from Tanzania for its size class and quality, and they all came out of a very small pocket around 2010 or so. A vertical grouping of nearly parallel growth and slightly curving, iceberg-blue Prehnite crystals averaging 2.3 cm are tightly intergrown on this showy and unusual piece from Tanzania. The elongate Prehnites exhibit a satin luster and all of them display a nicely tapered termination. Rarely do we see well formed Prehnite crystals like this, especially with this glacier-blue color! All of the Prehnite crystals are sharp and damage free. Charlie Key collection.
