Gem topaz is a classic example of fine Burmese minerals. Inclusions within topaz are highly uncommon for some reason. This polished, water-clear cabochon has straw-colored inclusions of what looks like rutile, but are said to be limonite coatings in hollow casts of some acicular mineral. Most of the inclusions originate in the center of the cabochon and shoot directionally near-parallel to the outside of the piece for great aesthetics. It is perfectly polished and has a mass of 12.5 grams. Good for collecting, or also for jewelry use!
