A striking gold thumbnail specimen with very bright and lustrous color. Branching off the main crystal are a few smaller crystals that appear to be octahedrons. Papua New Guinea is an unusual locality to find well crystallized gold like this, one would normally assume Australia or California for a piece of this quality. The gold is lustrous with rich yellow-gold color, indicating a high purity crystal. A striking and attractive gold specimen that holds its own against more well-known gold localities! This is the only gold listed from Papua New Guinea in the Flynn collection, amidst many other locales. Specimens are quite rare.
