A stunning intense yellow Cadmium-Smithsonite after Calcite pseudomorph from a new find at an old, recently rediscovered classic Chinese locality. The previously existing "dogtooth"-shaped scalenohedral Calcite crystals have been completely replaced by Cadmium-bearing Smithsonite. The yellow Smithsonite really glows when back lit! These new specimens came from a new find at the Wenshan Mine in 2020. This is a very attractive, bright lemon-yellow specimen with an undamaged coverage of beautiful, shimmering yellow Cadmium-bearing Smithsonite formations on a Sphalerite and Calcite matrix that just pops in a display case.
