Super lustrous yellow Cadmium-bearing Smithsonite crystals are protected in vugs of this Smithsonite and Calcite specimen. Calcite crystals and Smithsonite veins criss-crossed and grew together to form this interesting brecciated piece. Because of the vugs, the Smithsonite crystals here are protected and these crystals have the best luster and form anyone could hope for. You can even see Smithsonite "balls" in amongst the Calcite veins of the piece. Lastly, the piece glows with an electric orange-pink fluorescence under UV light. A very attractive and interesting small cabinet piece.
