A very rich and vibrant, red-orange specimen of Crocoite featuring an abundance very lustrous, prismatic crystals with the classic orange-red color that originates from the Red River Lower Pocket discovery. The stunning, highly lustrous, color-saturated Crocoite crystals occur in divergent sprays that are richly clustered in an incredibly aesthetic manner that is visually striking. Many of the crystals measure up to nearly 2 cm and are perfectly terminated. The bottom of the piece shows that the crystals sit on a colorful gossan matrix. Large pieces like this small cabinet specimen are not common and rarely have the Crocoite artfully displayed as this one does not to mention preserved terminations! This piece was collected by Shane Stanfield and there are in-situ photos that accompany the piece. Due to its fragility, this piece must be picked up or have hand delivery arranged. Ex. Matt McGill and Shane Stanfield collections.
