This small cabinet vug of scintillating smithsonite is a real treasure that sparkles! While many of the specimens from this exciting 2021 find at Yanga Koubenza are more of a classic ‘kelly blue’ color, the smithsonite here mostly exhibits a richly saturated green-blue, transitioning to a lighter pastel blue color around some of the edges, and is the only significant example in our lot with this deep green-blue coloration. Wonderfully framed by a bit of tan matrix, this is a choice example .
