This elongated piece of matrix is host to hundreds of super sparkly, blue veszelyite crystals. The blue of veszelyite in this quality is so different from other blues in the mineral world: it's lighter and brighter than azurite yet similar to the vibrant teal-blue of cavansite. Veszelyite crystals on this piece are in isolated crystals, loose aggregates and tight clusters with individual crystals 2 to 4 mm in length. The crystals are wonderfully translucent with an intense and bright blue color displaying an incredible luster that beautifully accents the smooth, white to gray-white hemimorphite surface. The bright blue of the veszelyite crystals and their translucency makes them stand out on the contrasting hemimorphite matrix. One of the richer specimens of this quality from finds of early 2020 which we bought directly from the miners' co-op.
