From new finds that surprised the mineral world with both quality and an interesting locality: This is a fantastic small cabinet specimen of glistening blue-green smithsonite crystals on matrix from the 2021 finds at Yanga Koubenza. We obtained a small lot of high-graded fine examples from the few pockets recovered of the material, of which this was a part. While not as dynamic as some of the more expensive examples from the find that we have on offer, this specimen still offers fantastic value for smithsonite of this color and luster. A fabulous example of the find for the budget-conscious smithsonite or African minerals collector! Don't let the lower price tag fool you - it is quite good!
