Cuprite with NATIVE Copper$1,900.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
Well-developed, mainly octahedral Cuprite crystals, averaging between 4 and 5 mm, richly invest a highly vuggy white Quartz veinstone matrix. Amongst the Cuprite are occasional areas of part-crystallised, hackly Native Copper. This beautiful small cabinet specimen is from the Wheal Druid sett of Carn Brea mine. Wheal Druid became amalgamated with Carn Brea Mine in 1831. The Wheal Druid section was worked until 1914 when it was abandoned, so this specimen could date back to any time during this period of operation, as far back as 1831. The Cuprite forms as sharp, deep cherry red crystals with highly lustrous metallic faces and is an excellent example, perfect for display.
