Brochantite
Unknown Owner
The copper sulphate Brochantite was only found in the upper levels of the Tsumeb mine throughout the supergene and 1st oxidation zones. This thumbnail specimen is coated in rich druses of micro-crystalline dark emerald green Brochantite which forms gemmy transparent, sharply-pointed crystals in an earthy limonitic matrix of mixed rusty orange and brick red. This specimen comes with a separate small square acrylic base.
