Tucson, Arizona, USAThis is a choice Zincolivenite thumbnail from the famous Tsumeb mine in Namibia. It comes from John Schneider's famous Tsumeb collection and bears the earlier name of this species - as Cuproadamite - on his acrylic base. The specimen is composed entirely of Zincolivenite as an aggregate of large, well formed, slightly curved, deep leaf-green crystals. Individual crystals reach up to 9 x 6 mm by over 5 mm tall and form a circular domed group. The sides of the crystals have a thin outer rind of light limey peppermint-green Zincolivenite which frame and highlight the individual crystals beautifully. A superb Tsumeb mine thumbnail specimen with great pedigree.
