Tucson, Arizona, USAThe Ojuela mine at Mapimí in Durango, Mexico, is very well known for its specimens of Wulfenite on Mimetite and this is an exceptional example. The square tabular blades of mustard-lemon-yellow Wulfenite attain 1.5 x 1.2 x 0.2 cm and display superbly against the undulating surface of botryoidal, zingy-apple-green Mimetite. Scattered between the Wulfenite crystals are tiny, colourless platy crystals that appear to be a different generation; a naturally corroded habit of Wulfenite and worthy of further study. Please note, the largest Wulfenite crystal has one corner missing, but this does not detract from the specimen's aesthetic.
