Fluorite with Dolomite$500.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
Pearly-white Dolomite crystals of 2 to 4mm, dusted terracotta and burnt carmine, are richly scattered over a flat plate of crystallised apple-green Fluorite. This eye-catching miniature is from the Hei'er Stein mine at Stulln in the W'lsendorf Fluorite Mining District of Upper Palatinate, Germany. The Fluorite forms compound crystals with quite amazing gently curved, concave faces, reminiscent of the parabolic mirror in a reflecting telescope. These are composed from 1 to 2 mm cubic crystals that stack with adjacent crystals, each slightly rotating and so forming the parabolic surface. Quite remarkable. A superbly unusual Fluorite with Dolomite with the added advantage of being highly aesthetic.
