Tucson, Arizona, USARich apricot orange crystals of Stolzite are aggregated and scattered over a black-brown Goethite gossan matrix from the Proprietary mine at Broken Hill, New South Wales, Australia. This famous mine is situated on the line of lode in the city centre, an area where the crest of the anticlinal-structured orebody cropped out at surface. Stolzite crystals, averaging 1 mm, have a mainly double pyramidal habit with developments of pinacoid faces. A rather spectacular and rich miniature of the lead tungstate, Stolzite, a highly prized mineral from the Broken Hill Proprietary mine, often referred to as the BHP mine. Stolzite is one of the Broken Hill 'classics' and must haves!
