A miniature plate composed of squat, stubby colourless Calcite crystals up to about 1.5 cm wide, each formed from stacked, highly distorted rhombs with nail-head terminations. It is from the P?'bram Mining District in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. Each prism is hexagonal in cross section with alternating wide and narrow prism faces and a trigonal termination. The crystals are semi-transparent to translucent with a bright, quite silky lustre and texture. Under LWUV the Calcite fluoresces reasonably bright tangerine with orange terminations.
