A very gemmy, colourless hexagonal Calcite crystal with translucent white double terminations, the crystal measuring to 3.8 cm between flats, with further attached Calcite crystals. These Calcites are from the Lishui Prefecture in Zhejiang Province, China, an area known for it gold production, but famous amongst mineral collectors for these remarkable Calcite crystals. The habit of this prism is short and squat, with a length of 1.5 cm, appearing more like its depth than its length. The pinacoid ends are colour zoned and frosted whereas the prism faces are optically ice clear with perfect gemmy transparency. The lower half of the crystal is missing, so two complete and two part complete sides of the hexagonal prism comprise this lovely miniature.
