Tucson, Arizona, USAA compact group of metallic, lustrous black Manganite crystals to 2.5 cm with a little white Baryte from the Ilfeld district in the Harz Mountains, Thuringia, Germany. The Manganite crystals are all terminated with deep striations on the prism faces. The crystals have grown at various angles on a matrix of anhedral crystalline Manganite. Cleaved rhombs' of white Baryte have partly infilled spaces between some of the Manganite crystals. A good specimen of this classic mineral.
