Tucson, Arizona, USAAn excellent thumbnail group of fat, stubby Mimetite crystals, the broadest being 1.2 cm; such broad crystals are very rare for Tsumeb. This is clearly an old time specimen, as such pale lemon crystals with a colour change to orangey-brick-red towards their terminations only appear to have occurred in the upper, near-surface levels. Three stubby crystals make-up this specimen, each with flat pinacoid terminations and their rear prism faces encrusted with micro-acicular Mimetite crystals. A choice old colour zoned Mimetite mounted on a clear acrylic base.
