I think the technical description for this superbly terminated Molybdenite crystal is Wow! It's a real beauty, displaying excellent faces and a textbook termination. The crystal measures 1.9 cm wide, 1.5 cm tall and is approximately 1 mm thick, set in a small matrix of light greyish white cryptocrystalline Quartz. The Molybdenite has a characteristically bluish silver surface and its faces are composed of numerous small hexagonal crystals epitaxially aligned to its direction of growth. A superb example of crystallised Molybdenite from Moly Hill mine at La Motte, Qu'bec, Canada.
