Description
Rich leafy plates of bright metallic yellow Native Gold are scattered along the top surface of a rusty brown Limonitic Quartz matrix. This cabinet specimen is from the Nueva Esperanza vein at Capillitas mine in the Andalgal' Department of Argentina. This is a rare location, this being the first time we have seen specimens from the mine. The largest group of inter-connected leaves measures 1.3 cm long. The Native Gold forms bright metallic leaves with hackly edges with micro-triangular Gold crystals distributed over the plates. A fine and rare example of Native Gold from the Nueva Esperanza Vein. The specimen is accompanied with two earlier labels.
